Dairy Free
All products declared dairy free are free from milk, cheese, butter and dairy derivatives such as whey powder.
Wheat Free
All products declared wheat free are free from wheat products. Those products marked with an * indicate that an ingredient used in the product may have been produced from wheat starch but has been certified as having les than 200mg/kg of wheat protein and therefore, has been declared suitable for a wheat free diet.
Gluten Free
All products declared gluten free are free from all wheat, oat, barley, rye and their derivatives. Those products marked with an * indicate that an ingredient used in the product may have been produced from gluten containing grains but has been certified as having less than 200mg /kg of gluten and therefore, has been declared suitable for a gluten free diet.
Egg Free
All products declared egg free are free from white, yolk and any derivatives.
Fish Free
All product declared fish free are free from all fish and shell fish.
Soya Free
All products declared soya free are free from soya beans and all derivatives.
Sulphite Free
All products declared sulphite free are free from sulphite and sulphur dioxide.
Nut Free
All products declared nut free have been manufactured and packed in a nut free environment.
Please note that although Julian Graves takes all reasonable precaution to prevent cross contamination, our products are not packed in a gluten, wheat, dairy, egg, fish, soya or sulphite free environment.
Seed Free
All products declared seed free have been manufactured and packed in a seed free environment.
Vegetarian
A food suitable for vegetarians has no direct animal products but may contain eggs, dairy products, honey and shellac. Where cheese and whey powder are declared, it has been verified that non animal rennet has been used in the manufacture of these ingredients.
Vegan
A food suitable for vegans has been classed as a food where no animal products are present in the food.
Low Fat
A low fat food is described under law as a food, which has a typical value of less than 3g fat per 100g. Please note however although a food is low in fat, this does not automatically indicate low in calories.
Fibre
Fibre is an important part of our diet and we should eat approximately 20g - 24g of fibre per day to help keep our digestive system healthy.
High Fibre
A food which has 6g of fibre per 100g is said to be high in fibre.
Source of Fibre
A food which has 3g per 100g is said to be a good source of fibre.
5 a Day
The recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables is five portions a day. For example a portion could be three apricots or a handful of raisins. So look out for the 5 a Day logo on our product packs and also in our stores.
